Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP)


The Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELO-P) provides funding for afterschool and summer school enrichment programs for SPECIFIC STUDENT POPULATIONS *transitional kindergarten through sixth grade. 

 

“Expanded learning” means before school, after school, summer, or intersession learning programs that focus on developing the academic, social, emotional, and physical needs and interests of pupils through hands-on, engaging learning experiences. In collaboration with community partners, Expanded Learning Programs complement, but do not replicate, learning activities in the regular school day and school year.

  

ENROLLMENT PRIORITY IS GIVEN TO THE FOLLOWING STUDENTS

Foster youth, students experiencing homelessness, English language learners, and students qualifying for free/reduced price lunch services.  Students who are not in these designated priority groups will be placed as space becomes available.
