Alta-Dutch Flat Union School District is committed to protecting the health and safety of students and staff during extreme weather conditions. In alignment with California Senate Bill 1248, also known as "Yahushua’s Law,", the Weather Safety Protocol establishes clear, district wide procedures for monitoring weather, modifying outdoor activities, communicating with families, and ensuring consistent safety practices across all programs.
This protocol applies to all outdoor K-8 activities, including: Physical Education, Recess and Lunch periods, Outdoor classroom activities, After-school programs (ELOP), Field trips, and school sponsored outdoor events.
